"Freakier Friday" Sequel Unveils Hilarious Extended Scenes

Fans of the "Freaky Friday" sequel are in for a treat as the upcoming Blu-ray release on November 11th will feature extended scenes from the film's pickleball tournament. The movie, which hit digital platforms on October 7th, had a rather major plot point centered around Jamie Lee Curtis' character's pickleball tournament, but the scenes themselves were not quite long enough to showcase the familiar faces seen on the court.

Luckily, the Blu-ray release will give viewers a chance to see more of the comedic bits from June Diane Raphael and Mary Sohn's characters, Veronica and Vivian, also known as The Vs. Ahead of the digital release, TheWrap has provided an exclusive first look at these deleted scenes, where the two characters can be seen warming up and trying to "ice out" their competition, Tess and Ryan, played by Mark Harmon.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who stars in the film, previously expressed her belief that "'Freaky Friday' is sort of cinema comfort food: it's satisfying, makes you feel good, makes you laugh, makes you cry. You leave uplifted and you feel -- because you're in a theater with other people, not on a streamer -- you're not alone." With the added extended scenes, fans can look forward to an even more fulfilling "Freakier Friday" experience when the film arrives on Blu-ray next month.
