In the upcoming action thriller Mutiny, set to release on Aug. 21, 2026, witness Cole Reed (played by Jason Statham) finds himself on a cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge his billionaire boss's murder. After witnessing the crime and being framed for it, Reed boards the ship in search of justice, but soon discovers an international conspiracy at play.
The film, directed by Jean-François Richet, also stars Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, Ramon Tikaram, Arnas Fedaravičius, Jason Wong, and Adrian Lester. The screenplay was written by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis, and the film is produced by Marc Butan and Statham.
Mutiny marks the latest collaboration between Statham and Lionsgate, who have previously worked together on The Expendables movies, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, The Transporter franchise, The Bank Job, and The Crank titles. The action star's long-running relationship with the studio continues with this high-stakes thriller, set to hit theaters in just under a year.
