In November 2025, longtime Fox News host Janice Dean, 55, announced that she is taking a break from the network to focus on her health. Dean, who was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis back in 2005, shared an emotional Instagram post explaining that she has been battling some "health issues" and needs "rest and time to heal" in order to feel "healthy and strong" again.
Dean revealed that she recently took a trip to Rome, Italy, with her husband, which allowed her to "start healing spiritually." However, she now needs to shift her focus to her physical well-being. The TV star went on to praise her "bosses at Fox" who have been "kind and understanding" about her decision to step back from work for an undisclosed period.
"I feel blessed to be able to take a break to be with my family," Dean wrote in her post. "The trip to Rome with Sean was a good place to start healing spiritually, and now I have to get back to feeling healthy and strong."
