Trudeau, 53, revealed that he and Hadrien had built a costume together, with Hadrien dressed as a bloody surfer and Trudeau himself donning the iconic costume of Katy Perry's "Left Shark" from her 2015 Super Bowl halftime show performance. The former prime minister's shark costume was nearly identical to the viral moment when the "Left Shark" went rogue with its dance moves, stealing the show and becoming a cultural phenomenon.

This Halloween collaboration comes just a few months after Trudeau and Perry's relationship went public in October 2025. The pair were first spotted together in July, taking a walk in Montreal's Mount Royal Park before having a private meal. While their romance is described as "not serious" since Perry is "extremely busy" on tour, the two have plans to see each other again when her schedule allows.
