ABC is developing a television adaptation of Isabella Maldonado's 2024 novel, "A Forgotten Kill." The project, slated for development, will be executive produced by Justin Hartley through his overall deal with 20th Television.
Diana Son is set to write and executive produce the drama. Ken Olin will also serve as an executive producer and director for the series. The story focuses on Dani Vega, a Nuyorican former Army Ranger and FBI agent who excels at deciphering codes and patterns.
Vega is partnered with NYPD Detective Mark Flint, and their different approaches prove effective in solving crimes. Despite developing chemistry, Vega is compelled by a secret family tragedy from her past, which now threatens her career and safety.
"A Forgotten Kill" is the second installment in Maldonado's FBI Special Agent Daniela Vega Series, following "A Killer's Game" (2023) and preceding "A Killer's Code" (2025). Maldonado, a retired police captain, brings a realistic perspective to her suspense novels.
