A new next-generation genre studio, Forge Films Company, has officially launched, concentrating its efforts on the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror sectors. The company was founded over the summer by Antoine Disle, Orso Vesperini, and Olivier Compere, who bring a wealth of experience from projects with major entities like Canal+, TF1, and Warner. Forge Films is also actively exploring opportunities within the gaming industry. The executive team is distributed across the U.S., France, and the UK. This new venture has already unveiled its first project, a Viking mythology series titled 'Lost in Hel'. This series, which is set to debut, follows Jarl Alvar and a Christian queen forced into an alliance. They must unite sworn enemies to confront an ancient force after their clan is shipwrecked on an unmapped island. A proof-of-concept for 'Lost in Hel' has been released on YouTube. The co-founders stated their model is designed to identify unique creative talent and original IP early on, test audience potential, and foster the growth of strong worlds across various media platforms, including film, television, gaming, and immersive experiences. Their framework combines creative ambition with audience engagement and industry expertise, aiming for commercial viability and sustainability.
