Italian tourist Silvia Rovelli described the event as "an exhibition of the city's cultural history," where "cultural traditions and heritage merged with festivity."
Russian national Yuvatisachi, who has been staying in Mayapur for the past four years, was spellbound by the carnival, saying, "I'm spellbound. So many people have come to watch the exciting artwork, creativity and this beautiful cultural programme." A Spanish couple, Iswari Jahnava and Madhav, had initially gone to Mayapur to meet their parents, but upon hearing about the carnival, they decided to attend it, calling the event "wonderful" and saying it "will remain in our memory forever."
The carnival provided a platform for foreign visitors to experience the best of Kolkata's Durga Puja festivities, from the grand idols to the captivating cultural performances. As one attendee, Kimberly Riddle from Washington, noted, "The carnival is not just about seeing idols and their decorations, rather it is a way to be acquainted with Bengali art and culture."
