A new animated sci-fi comedy series, Force 5, is set to debut, co-created by Rick and Morty producer David Marshall and industry veteran Todd Gallina. This show is designed for children aged 7-12 and centers on a team of teenagers responsible for global salvation. Their mission is complicated by an unusual ally: a colossal, sentient robot of destruction that resists being controlled by children.
Gallina has dedicated nearly a decade to developing Force 5 into a "franchise-ready universe." The series consists of 13 episodes, each 22 minutes long. Cookbook Media, led by Claudia Scott-Hansen and Rob Bencal, has been appointed as the global agent. They will manage distribution and consumer products, presenting the show to buyers and broadcasters at upcoming industry events.
The pilot episode for Force 5 was produced in Taipei by Cheer Digital. David Marshall serves as co-creator and director, while Todd Gallina is the co-creator and producer. The creative team also includes animation production head Tony Chang, art directors Zac Retz and another unnamed individual, head writer Laura Kleinbaum, writer Jing Wuen, and storyboard artist/character designer Andy Kelly. Marshall and Gallina expressed their excitement about bringing this "epic, funny, and deeply character-driven adventure" to audiences worldwide.
