FLO's Therapy at the Club: Growing Up and Finding Love

British girl band FLO has embraced a new level of maturity and creative autonomy with their second album, "Therapy at the Club." After breaking through as teenagers, members Stella Quaresma, Jorja Douglas, and Renée Downer dedicated six months to crafting this record, describing the experience as a "crash course in making music."

Quaresma stated that the band has grown significantly, no longer needing the "crutch" of relying solely on experienced writers and producers. Douglas expressed that the album is the "best reflection of us at this point in time," showcasing their increased involvement in every aspect, from songwriting to production. The album's themes delve into the complex realities of love, with the title track highlighting the supportive role friends play during difficult times.

While R&B remains central to their sound, FLO experimented with blending genres and incorporating more pop elements on "Therapy at the Club." They collaborated with Grammy-winning songwriter Amy Allen on the track "Remedied." For this album, the trio wrote separately before sharing ideas, fostering a deeper appreciation for each other's talents. Their collaboration with British R&B singer kwn on "Sex in Peace" also highlighted their synergy.

Beyond the music, FLO prioritizes elevating their live performances, choreography, and music videos. Despite a demanding schedule, the members find their career "thrilling, entertaining, and fulfilling," expressing a desire for continued success across shows, numbers, awards, and global recognition in the coming year.
