Thai jewelry designer Sarran Youkongdee has found a profound source of inspiration in the flowers cultivated by his grandmother. Growing up, he was deeply influenced by the floral arrangements and the scents of flowers like dok rak, jasmine, and gardenia, which he now artfully integrates into his jewelry.
This unique approach has garnered international attention. Youkongdee recently presented his new Rak Ambassador line at New York Fashion Week. This collection is a tribute to Thailand's influential Ayutthaya era, a period known for its rich diplomacy, elaborate temples, and vibrant artwork, including colorful floral arrangements.
The Rak Ambassador collection features a range of exquisite pieces, from necklaces and bangles to earrings and pins, with prices spanning from approximately $300 to over $150,000. Notably, the collection includes striking headpieces, a signature element that distinguishes Youkongdee's work. The collection is available at the 3NY fashion concept store in New York through April, with additional pieces offered at his Bangkok store starting April 1.
