Flea's much-anticipated jazz album, 'Honora,' has officially debuted, marking the highest entry of 2026 on both the Jazz Albums and Contemporary Jazz Albums charts. The album features Flea on bass and trumpet, with special guest vocal performances.
Nick Cave lends his voice to a rendition of 'Wichita Lineman,' while Thom Yorke contributes to a new original track titled 'Traffic Lights.' This project represents a long-held dream for Flea, who as a child, aspired to be a jazz trumpet player like Dizzy Gillespie.
After dedicating two years to practicing the trumpet daily, Flea recorded 'Honora' in early 2025. He is set to bring the album on tour, commencing May 7 in Chicago. The tour is scheduled to continue through July 11, concluding in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
