Peacock has officially renewed the popular drama "The Five Star Weekend" for a second season. This decision follows the series' outstanding performance, which has now secured its place as the streamer's top-performing scripted series ever in terms of overall reach.

With an astounding 2.1 billion minutes watched, "The Five Star Weekend" has resonated deeply with audiences. Preliminary Nielsen data indicates it ranks among the top five streaming original series within its initial two weeks post-premiere on July 9. The show is an adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand's best-selling novel, centering on Hollis Shaw, a food influencer and author portrayed by Jennifer Garner, as she navigates a profound loss.

To cope with her grief, Shaw invites three friends from different life stages, plus a surprise guest, to join her. The ensemble cast includes D'Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall, and Chloë Sevigny, alongside Harlow Jane and Timothy Olyphant. Creator Bekah Brunstetter expressed hopes for multi-season arcs, potentially introducing new vacation destinations and characters, possibly crafted around a new willing actor.
