Former Warner Bros. Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich and ex-Netflix producer Amanda Krentzman have officially launched Fireside Access TV. This new independent production company has been developed privately since 2024 and is a partnership with Access Entertainment, a division of Len Blavatnik's Access Industries. It is backed by a dedicated co-financing and development fund.
Fireside Access TV aims to support ambitious creators by providing the resources and flexibility needed for projects in their crucial early development stages. The company's slate will span all genres, emphasizing bold characters and optimistic themes. Notably, it has already invested in the documentary "AKA Charlie Sheen" and has scripted series in development with HBO Max and NBC.
Emmerich, who previously oversaw successful films like "Joker" and "Barbie," stated that Fireside was created to empower storytellers with ambitious ideas. Krentzman, who led global originals at Snapchat and worked on international series for Netflix, will serve as president. Danny Cohen of Access Entertainment highlighted the venture's role in filling a gap in TV financing as studios pull back.
