The highly anticipated fifth season of Fire Country premieres with "Founder's Day," an episode set during Edgewater's annual festival. A catastrophic sinkhole opens beneath Main Street, trapping citizens and forcing Station 42 into a critical rescue operation. Coinciding with these events, a mysterious former firefighter appears in Edgewater.
Following the premiere, Station 42 and Three Rock will confront a fast-moving wildfire threatening the community in "Fire Under Fire." Bode Leone works to connect with a newcomer while Sharon investigates a critical lead, leading to unforeseen repercussions.
"What Needs to Be Done" and "Winners and Losers" will place Station 42 under scrutiny due to mounting controversy, challenging Bode and the volunteer firefighters with an unexpected rescue. Recording artist INK is slated to perform at Smokey's Bar in the former episode, while W. Earl Brown guest stars in the latter.
The season will feature a major crossover event involving Sheriff Country. In "No Way Out," escaped convicts initiate a dangerous manhunt, uniting the Station 42 crew with Sheriff Mickey Fox and her deputies. Simultaneously, Sheriff Country's "No Way In" will see Sheriff Fox facing a high-stakes decision during a volatile hostage crisis involving escaped convicts and a severe windstorm.
