Guggenheim's background includes serving as showrunner for "Magnum P.I." and co-showrunner for "Hawaii Five-0," bringing a wealth of experience to the popular procedural. The news follows the announcement two weeks ago that the current showrunner, Tia Napolitano, would be departing the series after its fourth season.
Napolitano, who has been with "Fire Country" since its debut in 2022, was praised by CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios President David Stapf for her foundational role in building the show and its universe. Napolitano also shared her gratitude for the journey over the past four seasons.
"Fire Country" stars Max Thieriot as Bode, a convict turned firefighter, and features a supporting cast including Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer.
