BBC actor Finnian Garbutt, known for his role in Hope Street, has entered hospice care. This update comes just weeks after the 28-year-old bravely shared his terminal cancer diagnosis.
Garbutt announced his situation on Instagram, posting a selfie from his hospital bed and expressing gratitude for the support he and his family have received. He indicated that while his personal GoFundMe page is no longer being actively shared by him, it remains accessible.
His cancer, initially diagnosed as stage three malignant melanoma five years ago, progressed rapidly. In August 2024, he received a Stage IV melanoma diagnosis, a mere two weeks before the birth of his daughter, Saoirse, with his wife Louise Agnew.
Reflecting on his journey, Garbutt previously shared that despite treatment, the cancer worsened, entering its terminal stages. He expressed a desire to spend his remaining time enjoying moments with his family and friends.
