- First single 'Globetrotter' unveiled on November 10

On November 8, 2025, acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli and his son SS Karthikeya participated in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election in Telangana by casting their votes at a polling station in Sheikpet, Hyderabad. Rajamouli, known for directing blockbuster films like 'Baahubali', arrived at the polling booth dressed casually, highlighting the participation of well-known personalities in the local electoral process.
The by-election was necessitated by the death of the sitting MLA, Maganti Gopinath, who represented the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party. The seat has since seen a contest among several candidates, drawing interest from both political observers and local residents.
While Rajamouli continues to be engaged in film production, he took time to fulfill his civic responsibility. The director is currently working on his next project, tentatively titled 'Globetrotter', starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film's grand launch event is scheduled for November 15 at the Ramoji Film City and will be streamed live on JioHotstar. Interestingly, the first single from the film, also titled 'Globetrotter', was unveiled just a day before the by-election on November 10, with Shruti Haasan providing the vocals.
