Filmmaker Julius Onah has secured new representation, signing with Theresa Kang's Blue Marble Management. This agreement encompasses representation across film, television, and all media platforms. Onah is presently working on 'Samo Lives', a biopic centered on the life of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. This project is produced by Fifth Season, Macro, and Neon, and features Kelvin Harrison Jr. in the titular role.
His directorial work includes Marvel's 'Captain America: Brave New World', which achieved significant commercial success, grossing $415 million worldwide. Prior to this, Onah directed 'The Cloverfield Paradox' for Netflix. His critically acclaimed film 'Luce', which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Director.
Onah's directorial debut, 'The Girld In Trouble', was made during his graduate studies and executive produced by Spike Lee. He joins a notable roster at Blue Marble Management, which includes Oscar winners and Golden Globe nominees.
