The Federation had been following up with Varma since 2019, when he assured prompt payment. However, as Varma prepared for his latest project, the federation noted continued avoidance and decided to intervene. The dispute was resolved when ₹1.11 crore was transferred to FWICE, facilitating the immediate resumption of the film shoot.
FWICE officials highlighted the critical importance of timely payments for all film industry personnel, emphasizing their familial responsibilities. They stated their commitment to pursuing action against producers who withhold wages. This incident follows a previous clash between FWICE and Varma in June regarding directives for "Don 3."
