In October 2025, singer-songwriter Lauren Jauregui's time on Dancing with the Stars came to an abrupt end when she was eliminated from the competition. The 29-year-old former Fifth Harmony member was visibly upset, summing up her feelings with the blunt word "pissed" in a viral moment.
Now, Jauregui is reflecting on the experience and the immense pressure she felt performing live in front of millions. "There's a lot of pressure that happens when you're in front of millions of people and feeling something really vulnerable," she explains. Despite the disappointment, Jauregui gained a close friendship with her dance partner, Brandon Armstrong, whom she describes as "really cool people."
Jauregui's DWTS journey marked the first time many fans had seen her dance without singing simultaneously. "I was able to give my 110% to just the dancing. That was really fun to do, honestly," she says. The singer, whose first love is dance, had practiced various styles from a young age before finding fame in Fifth Harmony.

Though the elimination was tough, Jauregui found comfort in the support of her former bandmates Normani, Dinah Jane, and Ally Brooke, who were present for the live show. "They were so supportive and sweet, and they're just like, 'Girl, it's not you. Don't worry. Just keep your head up. You did your thing,'" she recalls.
Now, Jauregui is focused on her music career, having recently released her debut single "Ego" as a shift towards a more alternative sound. She's excited to continue evolving and growing as an artist, drawing inspiration from the rock and pop artists who have influenced her over the years.
