Summary
- Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is the trilogy's final game.
- It will launch in Spring 2027.
- New characters Vincent and Cid join combat.

The Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy is set to conclude with Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, slated for a Spring 2027 release. Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed this timeline, noting a three-year development gap from the previous installment, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Hamaguchi highlighted that development resources were consolidated for Revelation, avoiding DLC for Rebirth to ensure a swifter launch. He shared that lessons learned from Rebirth, particularly regarding the successful implementation of an open-world format, were applied to Revelation.
New playable characters, Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind, will be introduced, offering variations on existing combat roles. The game will also feature the FITS system, allowing characters to adopt jobs while retaining their unique inherent abilities, offering players greater flexibility.
The conclusion of the remake trilogy's story remains unchanged despite reception to Rebirth's ending. Hamaguchi expressed his deep gratitude to the development team, whose consistent collaboration over more than a decade has been crucial to completing this ambitious project.
Looking ahead, Hamaguchi suggested that the trilogy approach could be viable for other classic Final Fantasy titles like FF6 or FF9, acknowledging the significant content omissions that would be necessary for a single-game remake.
