Viewers can anticipate the return of "FBI" and "FBI: International" following their season finales on May 18, 2026. "FBI" will air its eighth season finale at 8 p.m. EST, immediately followed by the first season finale of "FBI: International" at 9 p.m. EST. Both popular series have secured renewals and are slated to return later in the fall.
Despite the cancellation of two other "FBI" spin-offs, "FBI: Most Wanted" and "FBI: International," the mothership series "FBI" was renewed for three additional seasons in April 2024. Although its viewership has seen a slight decline, season nine is expected to premiere in October 2026. "FBI: International," starring Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss, has also been confirmed for a second season, with its premiere viewership exceeding 8.4 million.
In preparation for the fall season, CBS is adjusting its Monday night programming. With "The Neighborhood" concluding its run and the cancellation of "DMV," both "FBI" and "FBI: International" will move up one hour, occupying the 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET slots respectively. This schedule change begins on their finale night, May 18, 2026, and will remain in effect for their new seasons.
