Joining Rossum in the cast are several previously announced actors, including Lola Petticrew, Scoot McNairy, and Quincy Tyler Bernstine. Petticrew portrays the character of Marshall, a charismatic and well-liked individual who grew up alongside Alice. The two shared a deep love and connection, and despite Marshall's efforts to get his life back on track, he is struggling to let go of his past with Alice.
The series is based on the 1987 film "Black Widow", which followed two women - Catherine, played by Theresa Russell, who murdered wealthy men she had married for their money, and Alexandra, an agent with the Department of Justice portrayed by Debra Winger, who becomes obsessed with bringing Catherine to justice. The new "Furious" series is being written and executive produced by Matt Olmstead, with Lisa Meriwether serving as the showrunner.
