22 Apr
Summary
- A contestant switched farmers after realizing no connection existed.
- She admitted to having butterflies for a different farmer instead.
- Both farmers and producers were surprised by the unexpected move.
During the premiere of "Farmer Wants a Wife" season 4, contestant Lauren, 29, made a surprising decision. Initially assigned to farmer Brett Maverick, 35, she found no romantic spark during their first date.
Lauren confessed to producers that she felt butterflies for another farmer, Braden Pridemore, 26. This unexpected development caught Braden off guard, but he agreed to meet Lauren, acknowledging her boldness in pursuing a connection.
Brett, initially amused, supported Lauren's decision, stating she made the right move if her heart was elsewhere. Producers allowed Lauren to speak with Braden, and though not an official date, they connected.
Later, Braden spoke with Brett about the situation, receiving his blessing. At the subsequent ceremony, Braden selected Lauren to join him on his farm, much to her excitement as she finally felt the sought-after butterflies.
