Friendship Cruise Announces Final Voyage in 2026 After 14 Years

In a bittersweet announcement, the organizers of the Friendship dance music cruise have revealed that the 2026 edition will be the event's final voyage. Launched in 2023, the annual cruise has become a beloved tradition for the "Shipfam" community, a group of loyal attendees who have returned year after year.

The 2026 lineup, set to take place from January 18-22, features a star-studded roster of artists including Bob Moses, Boys Noize, Polo & Pan, Mary Droppinz, Jason Bentley, Nina Las Vegas, Dita Von Teese, Mikey Lion, and Justin and Christian Martin. Founder Gary Richards, who has long performed under the Destructo moniker, will also be part of the final voyage.

In a statement, Richards reflects on the vision he had nearly 14 years ago to create something "different, special and out of this world." The Shipfam community that emerged has shared unforgettable moments that "feel like they'll echo forever." While this may be the last Friendship cruise, Richards hints that it could also be the "beginning of something new" as they embark on this "final transmission."

The four-day cruise will depart from Miami, travel to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, and then return to Miami, with the Norwegian Joy ship accommodating approximately 3,800 passengers in addition to the crew.
