- 'Main Hoon Na' became a blockbuster hit in 2004

In a recent interview, filmmaker Farah Khan revealed an interesting behind-the-scenes story about her directorial debut, the 2004 blockbuster 'Main Hoon Na'. Farah shared that Ayesha Takia was originally finalized for the role of Sanjana Bakshi in the film, but she had to drop out just two weeks before the shoot was set to begin.
With the production in a tight spot, producer Gauri Khan stepped in and suggested that Farah check out Amrita Rao for the part. Though Amrita didn't initially fit Farah's vision for the character, the director was impressed when Amrita faced the camera, saying she had a "rare quality" and looked "magical" on screen, akin to Sridevi.
