'Fantastic Four' Star Blames One Person for Box Office Flop

According to a recent interview, actor Miles Teller is not holding back when it comes to the 2015 box office flop 'Fantastic Four.' Teller, who starred in the superhero film, believes one specific person is to blame for the movie's underperformance.

Teller addressed the 'Fantastic Four' reboot, which was released by 20th Century Fox over 10 years ago, during an appearance on SiriusXM's "Radio Andy." When host Andy Cohen asked Teller if he knew the movie "wasn't great" during the press tour, Teller candidly shared his stance on the superhero film's failure.

The actor noted he was disappointed by the outcome, as the movie was his chance to be "taken seriously as a leading man" and have a superhero franchise on his resume. Teller felt the casting was "spectacular," but he knew the film was in trouble even before its release. "I remember talking to one of the studio heads, and I was like, 'I think we're in trouble,'" he recalled.

While Teller did not name the person directly, he likely was referring to the film's director, Josh Trank, who had infamously tweeted about a "fantastic version" of the movie that audiences would "probably never see." Trank's public criticism likely impacted the film's box office performance, as 'Fantastic Four' brought in just under $26 million domestically - $14 million less than what was projected.
