Faizon Love Arrested in Florida on Contempt Charges

Faizon Love, an actor recognized for his role as the manager in the holiday classic "Elf," was recently apprehended in Tampa, Florida. Jail records confirm his booking at the Orient Road Jail on Tuesday. He faces two charges of contempt of court, which reports indicate are connected to an ongoing paternity case.

This is not the first time Love has encountered legal difficulties. In 2017, he faced assault accusations in Columbus, Ohio, resulting in a suspended sentence after pleading no contest. More recently, a 2025 lawsuit alleged assault against a hotel worker in San Diego in 2024, stemming from an incident over a lack of vacancy.

Love's career began in 1992, and he has since appeared in numerous films, including "Friday" and "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood." He also collaborated with "Elf" director Jon Favreau on "Made" and "Couple's Retreat." His most recent film appearance was in "The Last Stop in Yuma County" in 2023.
