Faheem Abdullah, a Srinagar-born artist with six years in India's independent music scene, is set to embark on his inaugural national tour, "The Unbecoming Tour." This tour will visit six cities—New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Hyderabad—throughout November and December. Produced and promoted by Team Innovation, tickets will be exclusively available on thumpN starting September 5 at 2 pm.
Abdullah's live shows are designed to be intimate, focusing on acoustic storytelling and genuine connection, contrasting with typical grand concerts. His musical style is a distinctive fusion of indie folk, contemporary rock, and traditional ghazal elements, enhanced by lyrical depth in Urdu and Kashmiri, often evoking nostalgia for his hometown.
"This new chapter is about stripping away from the formal identity of being an artist and unlearning everything the industry expects of me," Abdullah stated. He aims to present an unfiltered, authentic side of his musical identity. Mohit Bijlani of Team Innovation highlighted Abdullah as a "generational voice" proving independent music's commercial viability. Previously recognized for his album Lost;Found and track Ishq, Abdullah's tour marks a significant step in bringing his music from digital platforms to live audiences across India.
