Netflix Greenlights Third 'Extraction' Film

Netflix has officially announced that a third film in the 'Extraction' action series is in development. Sam Hargrave, the director behind the first two installments, is set to return to helm the upcoming sequel. Golshifteh Farahani is also confirmed to be part of the cast for this new project, which features a script by David Weil.
Details regarding the plot of 'Extraction 3' have not yet been revealed. The franchise's first movie premiered in 2020, introducing Chris Hemsworth as mercenary Tyler Rake. His role was expanded in 'Extraction 2', which was released in 2023 and included a cameo appearance by Idris Elba.
Producers for the third movie include AGBO's Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Michael Disco, along with Chris Hemsworth and Benjamin Grayson for Wild State. Hargrave, Patrick Newall, Eric Gitter, and Peter Schwerin are also producing, with Steven V. Scavelli serving as executive producer. Russo-Otstot expressed excitement about continuing the partnership with Netflix and expanding the 'Extraction' universe with the talented team.
