Expecting Couple Clash Over Baptism as Colleague Mourns Tragic Loss
7 Nov
Summary
- Jo and Link disagree on baptizing their twins
- Simone grieves over her mother's best friend's death
- Kwan and Jules struggle with a patient's medical emergency

In the latest episode of Grey's Anatomy, which aired on November 6th, the expecting couple Jo and Link found themselves at odds over the concept of "organized religion" before the possible arrival of their twins. Jo wanted to make plans to baptize their children, but Link was strongly against it. The two took turns fighting about the issue, in between Jo delivering a patient's baby.
Elsewhere at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, Simone was treating a patient who turned out to be her late mother's best friend. Simone formed a connection with the patient and learned more about her mother, but ultimately the patient passed away. Simone struggled with the loss and received support from her ex, Lucas.
Additionally, Kwan enlisted Jules on a home visit that took an unexpected turn when a patient's toe fell off. They were unable to stabilize the situation, so Bailey had to step in to help.
The episode also featured absences of some main cast members, including Meredith, Owen, Amelia, and Teddy. This comes after reports that Grey's Anatomy is reducing the minimum guarantees for its veteran cast members to 14 out of the show's 18 episodes per season.
