Excel Entertainment Eyes 2027 for Kanika Dhillon Thriller

Excel Entertainment is expanding its production pipeline significantly, entering into a new collaboration with screenwriter Kanika Dhillon for an intense thriller. Dhillon has penned the script and will co-produce the project under her Kathha Pictures banner. This venture is expected to explore themes of morality, ethics, and complex societal issues, centering on two bold characters.

Production for this new thriller is planned to begin by the end of 2026 or early 2027. While the director is yet to be confirmed, casting is in advanced stages. This project adds to Excel Entertainment's already substantial slate, which includes films starring Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol, and the cinematic adaptation of 'Mirzapur'.

Kanika Dhillon is renowned for her work on critically acclaimed films featuring strong female protagonists. Her writing credits include 'Haseen Dilruba' and 'Manmarziyaan'. She is also producing and writing 'Gandhari,' an upcoming Netflix film.
