Frank Ferrer, the former drummer for Guns N' Roses, has embarked on a new musical venture, joining a UK-based rock band. This collaboration came about after a conversation with Hampshire-based guitarist Brett Smith-Daniels. The band’s inaugural live performance occurred recently at The Brook in Southampton. This event was significant as it was the first time all five members shared a stage together.
Ferrer, who concluded his 19-year tenure with Guns N' Roses in 2025, explained that the timing of Smith-Daniels' call was opportune. He expressed a clear intention to explore playing with different musicians, with a particular interest in the UK scene. Ferrer contrasted the energetic, party atmosphere of smaller venues with the grand scale of arena shows, indicating a preference for the former.
The newly formed group, which also features Russell Marsden, Chris Payn, and Stefan Bielik, has scheduled additional performances. Upcoming gigs are planned for Cambridge and London, signaling the band's initial tour or promotional activities.
