Former Coronation Street actress Sally Ann Matthews, known for her 39-year tenure as Jenny Bradley, has announced a significant career move. She is joining the cast of 'Here & Now: The Steps Musical,' set to tour the UK and Ireland. Matthews will portray the character Patricia, taking over the role from Finty Williams.
This venture marks Matthews' first professional engagement since her departure from the popular ITV soap opera in October 2025. The musical itself is a celebration of the iconic pop group Steps, weaving their well-known hits into a narrative centered around the character Caz and her friends. The show premiered in November 2024 and began its tour in August 2025.
Matthews is scheduled to perform in 15 venues across the tour. Her first performance with the musical will be on January 23rd at Southampton's Mayflower Theatre. The production is a collaboration between Steps, theatre company ROYO, and music producer Pete Waterman, aiming to bring the group's chart-topping hits to the stage.
