Euphoria Star Lukas Gage Shares Borderline Personality Disorder Diagnosis Journey

In a recent interview, actor Lukas Gage, known for his roles in The White Lotus and Euphoria, has revealed his journey with a borderline personality disorder diagnosis. Gage, now 30 years old, discovered he had the condition after an ex-partner who had given him an STD ghosted him. This led Gage to seek treatment at a Los Angeles facility, where a doctor formally diagnosed him with the disorder.

Gage says the diagnosis was largely a positive experience, as it helped him better understand himself and feel less alone. "All these behaviors, these erratic relationships and high highs and low lows ... I felt very alone and felt like there was something wrong with me for so long," he explains. However, finding the right medication was a challenge, with Gage at one point feeling like "a person I didn't recognize" due to the side effects.

Despite the difficulties, Gage is grateful for the diagnosis, as it has allowed him to connect with others experiencing similar struggles. "I suddenly felt less alone when I would listen to other people deal with the same thing that I went through," he says. Gage's openness about his mental health journey aims to destigmatize the discussion around borderline personality disorder and encourage others to seek the support they need.
