Euphoria Star Lukas Gage Opens Up About Borderline Personality Disorder

In a recent interview, Euphoria star Lukas Gage has opened up about his borderline personality disorder diagnosis. The 30-year-old actor, whose whirlwind marriage to celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton ended in 2024, felt compelled to share his struggles in order to destigmatize mental illness.

Gage explained that for years, he didn't have the right words to describe his experiences, thinking it was just depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder. However, after seeing others like Trisha Paytas, Madison Beer, and Julia Fox speak about their own mental health challenges, Gage found a sense of "clarity" and decided to be vulnerable in his forthcoming memoir.

The actor emphasized that he didn't want to live in the shame of hiding his condition, despite being advised against sharing the details by his team. Gage acknowledged that some aspects of his personality disorder can be difficult, but he also believes there is nothing inherently wrong with him. He hopes his openness will encourage more open conversations around mental health that are not stigmatized.
