Fezco's Fate Revealed in Euphoria Season 3 Premiere
13 Apr
Summary
- Fezco is imprisoned for 30 years due to a drug raid.
- The show aims to honor the late Angus Cloud's legacy.
- Two other Euphoria production members also passed away.
In the recently released Season 3 premiere of HBO's "Euphoria," the show directly addresses the passing of its star, Angus Cloud, who died in July 2023. Cloud had not filmed any material for the new season before his death, which occurred after the show's second season concluded in February 2022.
Rather than writing Fezco, Cloud's character, out of the series entirely, the premiere establishes that Fezco is serving a 30-year prison sentence. This sentence stems from a drug raid that took place during the Season 2 finale. Creator Sam Levinson shared his intention to honor Cloud's memory by keeping Fezco alive within the narrative.
The character's fate is discussed by Zendaya's Rue and Maude Apatow's Lexi, who touch upon their past romantic sparks and current distance. The conversation highlights Fezco's imprisonment and Lexi's difficulty coordinating visits due to their different schedules. Additionally, the drug raid is cited as the reason another character, Laurie, relocated to California to join a family drug business.
The season's return also marks a moment of remembrance for other members of the "Euphoria" production who have passed away, including producer Kevin Turen and star Eric Dane.
