Euphoria's series finale featured a pivotal moment where Bishop secretly unloaded Alamo's gun, leading to Ali sparing Bishop but leaving viewers questioning the character's true allegiances. Actor Darrell Britt-Gibson, portraying Bishop, clarified that this act stemmed from Bishop's growing disagreement with Alamo's methods, especially after Rue's perceived death. Britt-Gibson suggested Bishop saw Rue's situation as 'the final straw.'

Britt-Gibson further elaborated that Bishop operates with calculated intent, likening his actions to a game of chess. He posited that Bishop was waiting for an opportunity to take down Alamo. Actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played Alamo, offered a different perspective, suggesting Bishop's actions were a strategic 'power move' to usurp Alamo. Akinnuoye-Agbaje noted that Alamo often belittled Bishop, hinting at underlying resentment and Bishop's own ambitions, even suggesting a 'changing of the guards.' Akinnuoye-Agbaje also dismissed theories of Bishop being a hero, describing him as potentially 'psychotic.'
