Etan Frankel Joins Fox for Scripted Series

Etan Frankel has entered into a first-look deal with Fox Entertainment, signaling a significant expansion of the studio's scripted series development. This agreement focuses on creating and producing a diverse range of scripted content, from premium dramas to creator-driven narratives with international reach.

Frankel brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Universal Content Productions, where he developed "Joe vs. Carole." His extensive background also includes significant roles on popular shows such as "Shameless," "Sorry for Your Loss," "Get Shorty," and "Animal Kingdom." Earlier in his career, he contributed as a writer for "Friday Night Lights."

Currently, Frankel is developing "Prism" for Netflix, a project where he will serve as showrunner and executive producer alongside notable figures like Rachel Brosnahan and Millie Bobby Brown. Fox Entertainment Studios highlighted Frankel's exceptional storytelling abilities and his capacity to blend emotional depth with commercial appeal.

This collaboration aligns with Fox Entertainment's strategic growth in premium scripted content, building upon its existing slate of shows and diverse portfolio, which includes animation, unscripted series, and film production.
