Summary
- SRG Group settled Erica Campbell's royalty lawsuit within two weeks.
- Kenny Lattimore's separate lawsuit against SRG is still ongoing.
- My Block Inc. sought over $1 million in damages for royalty accounting.
Digital distributor SRG Group has reached a settlement in a royalty accounting lawsuit initiated by Erica Campbell's label, My Block Inc. The case, filed in mid-September, alleged a lack of royalty statements for Campbell's 2023 album, 'I Love You.' Court filings on October 2, 2026, indicate the parties voluntarily dismissed the action due to a settlement, though its terms are private.
SRG Group also faces an ongoing legal challenge from R&B artist Kenny Lattimore, who filed suit in February 2026. Lattimore claims he received only a $4,400 royalty check for his 2021 album and accused SRG executives of attempting to obstruct his audit. SRG has denied these allegations and is actively contesting the lawsuit.
My Block Inc., founded by Campbell's husband Warryn Campbell, had a distribution deal with SRG from 2021 to 2024. The label sought at least $1 million in damages, asserting SRG failed to provide royalty statements for several releases, including Campbell's Grammy-nominated work and projects by Lena Byrd Miles and The Walls Group. SRG previously stated its commitment to transparency and fulfilling its artist partnerships.
