Artwork celebrating England footballers Jude Bellingham and Morgan Rogers has been vandalized. The mural, which featured the Black Country-born stars enjoying a local delicacy known as orange chips (battered chips), adorned the side of the Classic Fryer chippy in Quinton.
The artist, Dion Kitson, shared on Instagram that significant portions of the depiction of Bellingham had been torn from the wall. He expressed his dismay, stating, "This is why we can't have nice things." Kitson, however, humorously pledged to create something "bigger and batter."
This incident follows the mural's installation ahead of a World Cup quarter-final match in July. Social media users have responded to the vandalism, with many suggesting Kitson undertake a larger project, possibly in Bellingham's hometown of Stourbridge.
