Emmy Winner LaNasa Displays Trophy on Bar Cabinet, Supports 'Best in Drag' Pageant

In the past two days, Emmy-winning actress Katherine LaNasa has been celebrating her recent award win. LaNasa, who was recognized for her performance as Dana Evans in "The Pitt," has revealed that she is keeping her freshly minted trophy on a bar cabinet in her home.
LaNasa and her husband, actor Grant Show, were among the judges at the 30th annual Best in Drag pageant held at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night. The event, which raises funds for APLA Health's Alliance for Housing and Healing, supports displaced and unhoused individuals with HIV/AIDS by providing subsidized apartments and emergency financial assistance. This year's pageant, hosted by casting director Patrick Rush, successfully raised $250,000.
LaNasa expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating that Best in Drag is "just fun as hell" and about "accepting everybody where they are, celebrating people as they are." The pageant was the subject of a 2024 documentary titled "The Little Pageant That Could," which inspired former "Saturday Night Live" star Cheri Oteri to get involved as a judge. Oteri encouraged people to "let your freak flag fly" and support the event, which she believes is a wonderful experience for every gay young person to learn about the diversity within the LGBTQ+ community.
