9 May
Summary
- Lewis Barton joins the men's darts team next week.
- A new darts team inspires a village-wide sports craze.
- Dr. Todd is blackmailing Charity for £10,000.
Next week on Emmerdale, Lewis Barton will step in to solve a player shortage for the newly formed men's darts team at The Woolpack. This development comes as darts becomes a popular pastime in the village, mirroring local trends where women's teams are springing up.
The inspiration for the storyline stems from the success of real-life local darts teams, particularly those comprising women, in Yorkshire. Pubs are utilizing such social activities to draw customers back mid-week, reinforcing their role as vital community hubs.
Elsewhere in the pub, a new drama unfolds as Dr. Todd blackmails Charity for £10,000. This situation leaves Charity in a powerless position, as Dr. Todd controls the circumstances. The doctor is also seen making advances towards Vanessa, Charity's ex, further complicating matters.
