Emily Longeretta has been appointed to lead the Focus department at Variety, a significant step in her career. In this new capacity, she will be responsible for all features and spearhead new business development initiatives.
Her purview will encompass a wide array of subjects, including sponsored content, festivals, FYC coverage, industry milestones, and pop culture. Longeretta will work closely with Carole Horst, the deputy editor of Focus, and report to Co-Presidents and Co-Editors in Chief Ramin Setoodeh and Cynthia Littleton.
