This edition is part of a new Female Filmmakers Collection, where directors curate classic literature with cinematic touches. Fennell's contribution includes a custom cover and a new foreword that reflects her personal interpretation of the novel, describing it as an 'adaptation of a feeling.'

Fennell's film adaptation of Wuthering Heights is slated for release by Warner Bros. on February 13, 2026. This marks her third directorial project following "Promising Young Woman" and "Saltburn." The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Margot Robbie as Catherine and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff.

Supporting actors such as Alison Oliver, Owen Cooper, and Hong Chau will also feature in the film. Adding to the cinematic experience, the soundtrack will include original music by Charli xcx, promising a contemporary take on the timeless gothic romance.
