The CBS series "Elsbeth" is joining forces with iconic Hollywood eatery Pink's Hot Dogs for a unique Emmy FYC promotion. For seven weeks, Pink's will offer free hot dogs to its first 100 customers every Thursday, aligning with the show's airing schedule. The special hot dog has been named "The Elsbeth," featuring a unique combination of coleslaw, cheddar, mustard, and ketchup.
This promotional effort comes as CBS strategically shifted "Elsbeth" to the comedy categories for Emmy consideration. Executive producer Jonathan Tolins explained the move reflects the show's inherent comedic elements, including its satirical nature, pacing, and performances, even while it features murder investigations. The show is currently concluding its third season and has been renewed for a fourth.
"Elsbeth," which premiered in February 2024, has been a strong performer for CBS. Carrie Preston reprises her role as the offbeat attorney Elsbeth Tascioni, now consulting for the NYPD. The series also stars Wendell Pierce, with executive producers including Robert and Michelle King, and Jonathan Tolins.
