6 Dec, 2025
Summary
- Elsbeth earned two major nominations at the 31st Critics Choice Awards.
- Carrie Preston is nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series.
- The show's consideration category shifted from drama to comedy.
The television series Elsbeth has secured two major nominations for the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards, including Best Actress for Carrie Preston and Best Series. This recognition comes shortly after the show's category submission was strategically changed from drama to comedy, a move that has already proven successful.
Carrie Preston, who originated the role of Elsbeth Tascioni on "The Good Wife," faces stiff competition in the Best Actress in a Comedy Series category. The show's shift to comedy was reported in November, and the nominations suggest this change has resonated well with awards voters, providing network television representation against streaming and premium cable contenders.
The 31st annual Critics Choice Awards ceremony is scheduled for January 4, 2026. Viewers can tune in to E! and USA Network to discover if Elsbeth and Carrie Preston will take home trophies, marking a potential triumph for network television in the competitive awards landscape.
