A peculiar sight emerged in San Francisco recently: four-legged robots sporting hyper-realistic faces, most notably that of Elon Musk. These machines were observed interacting with their environment, even barking at real dogs. The 'dog-bots' were part of an exhibition by artist Beeple, whose real name is Mike Winkelmann.
The "Regular Animals" exhibition at the digital arts centre NODE features robot dogs with the faces of various icons, including Jeff Bezos, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and Beeple himself. The creators utilized Unitree Go2 quadrupeds and hyperflesh silicone masks for the project, with plans to maintain the robots for three years before preserving their memories.
