Mark Rober, known for his engineering feats and popular YouTube channel, has partnered with Elmo for a new Netflix holiday special, "Elmo & Mark Rober's Merry Giftmas." The collaboration brings together Rober's advanced creativity with Elmo's imaginative approach to gift-making at Rober's CrunchLabs.
Filming involved some playful chaos, with Elmo enjoying a foam pit and Cookie Monster developing an appetite for the foam itself, presenting a unique challenge for the production. Rober noted that filming for Netflix required a higher production value compared to his usual YouTube content.
The special emphasizes kid-friendly concepts and learning through failure, a theme central to Rober's work. He even stepped outside his comfort zone to sing a duet with Elmo on the song "Failure is Awesome," highlighting the importance of learning from mistakes.
