Written by Matthew Tinker and Annakate Chappell, the drama is based on Heather Gudenkauf's novel. Pompeo will portray Amelia Winn, a disgraced ER nurse who lost her hearing in a hit-and-run accident. The plot thickens when Amelia and her service dog discover a murdered former colleague.

This discovery plunges Amelia into a dangerous mystery that may hold the key to understanding the accident that altered her life. The project signals a new chapter for Pompeo, moving beyond her iconic role as Meredith Grey.

This collaboration follows a history between Pompeo and Kelley, dating back to March 2005 when 'Boston Legal' made way for 'Grey's Anatomy' in its time slot. The series also involves director Azazel Jacobs and an executive producing team including Pompeo, Kelley, Tinker, and Chappell.
